Mr. Edward Tucker is the Director of Transportation and is responsible for the supervision, operation, and transporting of all Dinwiddie County Public School students. He maintains current Division of Motor Vehicles records and current COSHA (drug testing) of all Commercial Driver’s License holders. He supervises the vehicle maintenance support staff. He is responsible for the investigation of any and all accident involving school buses or special transportation vehicles. He works closely with all building principals with regard to discipline and loading and unloading of school buses or special transportation vehicles. He is responsible for all routing of school buses for Dinwiddie County Public Schools including Special Education, Appomattox Regional Governor’s School, Rowanty Vocational Technical Center, and Alternative Education. He also oversees the usage of buses for field trips, athletic trips, SODA, TATU, and gifted education. He also supervises the training of all new Bus Drivers.
Mr. Tucker is assisted by Mrs. Cathy Conner, Mrs. Carissa McLawhorn, and Mrs. Susan Hayes.
