Mrs. Carly Woolfolk oversees and manages the Secondary Education and Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs for Dinwiddie County Public Schools. Mrs. Woolfolk supervises all 6-12 curriculum development and implementation, local assessment development, textbook and resource selection, and remediation/enrichment activities for both the middle and high school instructional programs. Additionally, she oversees all courses and programs related to Career and Technical Education and Work-Based Learning (WBL) programming for grades 6-12. Mrs. Woolfolk represents the division at John Tyler Community College for PEER (Partnership to Ensure Educational Reform)
and other regional career and technical forums and is a member of the Crater Regional Workforce Development Board (www.craterworkforce.org
). In addition, she supervises the Carl Perkins grant and related CTE funding, the GEAR UP grant, the Algebra Readiness grant, the Adult Education program, and the ISAEP grant/program.
Ms. Dawn Cater, Instructional Specialist for Career Readiness, works closely with Mrs. Woolfolk to ensure WBL opportunities and experiences are afforded to students in grade 6-12. Ms. Cater also supervises career exploration activities such as Industry Day, Job Shadowing, and student internship opportunities.
Mary Jo Beville serves as the Executive Secretary for Secondary Education and CTE. She provides clerical assistance to Mrs. Woolfolk and the programs under the secondary umbrella.
