Nov. 16-20: American Education Week

What is American Education Week?

American Education Week , November 16-20, 2020. Never Regret Anything That Made You Smile - Mark Twain -- Dinwiddie County Public SchoolsSince 1921 the United States has been celebrating American Education Week.  Initially, this was a way to help eliminate illiteracy and improve physical fitness by bringing awareness to our public education schools.  This has evolved over the years to celebrate public education and to honor the individuals who are making a difference.  These individuals — from teachers, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, administrative staff and countless others — all work together to ensure that every student receives a quality education.

Help us celebrate American Education Week — Nov. 16-20, 2020 —by honoring those who have made a difference in your child’s or your own education. Thank a teacher, bus driver, cafeteria worker, or someone in your child’s school who has helped them, especially during this new instructional school year.

Dinwiddie County Public Schools encourages parents and guardians to get involved and help support our educational goals, successes, and outcomes.  We are all in this together and are committed to help every child succeed!
