Board Sworn In

At the December 17, 2019, School Board Meeting, members were sworn in by the Dinwiddie Clerk of the Court Barrett Chappell.  The 2019 Dinwiddie School Board is comprised of the following people:

District 1 – Jerry “Jay” Schnepf
District 2 – Betty Haney
District 3 – Barbara Pittman
District 4 – Mary Benjamin
District 5 – Sherilyn Merritt

Special Recognition

In addition, recognition of Board Members and Deputy Clerk was held at this meeting.  Mrs. Sheri Athey was recognized and presented with a plaque for her service to the board as Deputy Clerk for the past 12 years.

Mr. William Haney was recognized for his service on the Dinwiddie County School Board. Mr. Haney served for 16  years. He was presented with a resolution and a plaque for his service. During his time on the board, he served as the Chairman four times. His leadership and dedication to DCPS will be greatly missed!
