Choose Respect: A way to prevent dating violence and abuse

On Friday, April 1, 2011, Dinwiddie County Public Schools held a free community awareness program at Dinwiddie High School’s cafeteria. It was a great success. If you missed this informative session on how to help prevent dating violence and abuse before it starts, you can still view helpful information.

Choose Respect is an initiative that helps teens form healthy relationships to prevent dating violence before it starts. This national effort helps parents, caregivers, older teens, educators, and other caring adults motivate teens to challenge harmful beliefs about dating violence and take steps to form healthy and respectful relationships.
