Portrait of A Dinwiddie Learner
Grounded in our mission to cultivate confident, compassionate learners prepared for life beyond graduation, the Portrait of a Dinwiddie Learner defines the knowledge and skills we are committed to developing in every student from their first days in PreK through graduation. Our commitments are organized around six core competencies: Creative Thinking, Citizenship, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Caracter, and Communication. Because learning and growth look difference at every age, the Portrait grows with our students, reflecting age-appropriate expectations at each stage of development. It serves as both a north star for instruction and a shared language for student success at DCPS.
